Buddy Wasisname

Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers is an iconic musical comedy trio from Newfoundland and Labrador consisting of Kevin Blackmore, Wayne Chaulk, and Ray Johnson. Since 1983, they have blended traditional folk music—led by Ray’s accordion and Wayne’s songwriting—with Kevin’s high-energy, "rubber-faced" comedy. 

 

 

They are best known for cultural staples like the poignant "Saltwater Joys" and the humorous "Gotta Get Me Moose B’y," earning them the Order of Canada for their decades of contribution to Canadian culture
